Eyelids Turning Out or In

Ectropion and Entropion

An ectropion is an eyelid that is turning out. This can cause excessive tearing, redness and irritation of the eye, infections of the eye and the eyelid skin, and a decrease in vision.

(Eyelid Turning In)

An entropion is an eyelid that turns in. This often causes tearing, irritation to the eye, and feeling like something is in the eye. This can cause redness and infections of the eye as well as a decrease in functional vision.

There are multiple causes and the appropriate treatment will be discussed during your consultation with Dr. Bond.
