Urgent Coronavirus Update
What patients are we seeing?
As of May 18, Bond Eye Associates began seeing all patients. Our office will call you to reschedule any appointments that were originally scheduled between March 20 and May 15th. Walk-in’s will not be permitted at this time. Please call our office to schedule an appointment. Our office number is: 800.243.2020
COVID-19 Exposure: If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or you are experiencing fever, fatigue, cough, or shortness of breath, please wait to visit our practice and follow the CDC recommendations at this link: What to do if you are sick- CDC Guidelines.
What can you expect when coming to our practice?
Masks: All patients and visitors are required to wear a mask throughout their appointment.
Screening: All patients and visitors will have their temperature taken upon entering the office with a touchless thermometer. Our temperature threshold is 100.4.
Due to safety guidelines, any patient who is unwilling to wear a mask or have their temperature taken will need to reschedule their appointment after the COVID-19 health crisis.
Waiting Room: Bond Eye Associates is currently checking you in and immediately taking you to a room. The waiting room is used for short waits and patients waiting to shop our Optical Boutiques. If there is a wait longer than 5 minutes, you will wait in your car, and they will give you a pager or call you to let you know that the technician is ready for you.
Updated visitor and companion policies: No visitors may accompany patients unless they are needed to assist the patient.
Social distancing: All staff, patients, and visitors will adhere to social distancing guidelines. Our waiting room follows social distancing guidelines with chairs six feet apart.
What extra steps are in place to keep all of us safe?
Your safety, along with the safety of all of our staff and doctors, is our #1 priority.
Infection prevention precautions: We are utilizing enhanced cleaning procedures and sanitizing all surfaces, instruments, equipment and exam rooms in between every patient.
- Infection control measures are readily available for our patients and their guests, such as, masks, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, tissues, hand soap, and waste receptacles.
- We have removed all shared items like magazines.
- Our staff has eliminated handshakes and other forms of non-essential physical contact.
- Face shields are in place at the slit lamp and the front desk but we request that no talking happens while your chin is in the slit lamp or near the doctor or technician.
- Bond Eye Associates has installed HEPA Air purifiers throughout their facilities.
Check-in procedure: We will call the day before to pre-register your visit. We will collect insurance, address changes, medication information as well as current and past medical conditions. Please answer our call, it will help streamline your visit.
Online Patient intake forms: All patients can fill out their intake paperwork online in advance of their appointment by providing us with an email address or cell phone number and we will send a secure link where you can fill out your information prior to your appointment. Our general patient intake documents in printable form are available here. If we need additional information upon arrival, know that clipboards are cleaned at check-in, and you will receive a pen that you may keep if additional information was not able to be collected prior to your appointment.
Optical Boutique: We ask that patients let our opticians know which frames they pulled from the displays OR let the optician be the only one pulling frames in the Optical Boutiques so all the frames touched can be sanitized before another patient touches them. Patients must wear a mask while being fitted for glasses. Patients that need optical services that did not normally require an appointment will need to call ahead and schedule a time to come into the Optical Boutiques or patiently wait until social distancing protocols allow.
