Mandatory School Eye Exam

As of January 1, 2008 the State of Illinois now requires all children, beginning kindergarten or first grade for the first time, or children who are transferring into Illinois from out of state, to have a comprehensive eye examination prior to starting school.

FDA Approves Revolutionary Laser to Correct Near- and Farsightedness

Bond Eye Associates and the Illinois Valley Eye Laser Institute (IVELI) is pleased to announce the FDA approval of the revolutionary WaveLight Allegretto Wave Excimer Laser System for the reduction or elimination of certain degrees of near- and farsightedness. The Allegretto Wave adds to the growing number of wavefront technologies being studied and used in the laser vision correction field. The Allegretto Wave has demonstrated superior results in comparison with the study outcomes of other wavefront lasers.
