Dr Linda Mahaffey was born and raised in LaSalle, Illinois.  She graduated with Honors from Northern Illinois University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Medicine in 1993, where she was elected to the Gold Key Honor Society for outstanding optometry students.

Dr. Mahaffey completed specialty training in contact lenses, pediatrics and low vision. She served an internship at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital and gained experience in primary and advanced care in the treatment and management of ocular diseases. Dr. Linda Mahaffey also served in Poland with Volunteers of Optometric Services to Humanity.

Dr. Linda Mahaffey is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association.  She and her husband, Thomas reside in Goodfield Illinois. Dr. Mahaffey plays the violin, is the organist at her church and enjoys travelling  and spending her time with their two children.
